The year of covid-19 (2020) was not a great year in many ways for the world and many. For me, it wasn’t great in terms of reading books either, but it doesn’t really matter a single bit in the year of pandemic.

I read more books than last year: 46 books in total in 2019. Here’s the top 10 list of favorite ones:

All courses are done, only Master’s thesis unfinished. When the thesis is done, I will graduate with a Master of Science from Aalto University School of Business. What did I study and what did I get out of it? Before Slush, ending up at Aalto University was the best thing that happened to me. As an innately curious person, I’ve been thrilled at the chance to study interdisciplinary topics: business and economics, technology and engineering, as well as the arts.

At the beginning of last year, I set myself a reading challenge of 20 books. It was just a bit more than last year and I achieved it quite easily in the end. I read 21 books. I could have read much more, to be honest. So this year my goal is at least 30 books. [Edit: 50 books!]

I have a new challenge for this year. I want to write more and to give it some concrete metrics as well, I intend to publish a blog post every month since now. I already started at the beginning of January writing about my favorite books read in 2018 on Medium.

This is my own virtual world. I love reading and also have a lot of thoughts, so lately I’ve been writing more and maybe I should express myself somewhere. Let this be my place where to write and share thoughts and tips about favorite books.
